As a Redshirt Senior (2020-21): Wrestled in seven matches, competing in five duals at 157 pounds … made his season debut and earned a 3-2 decision victory over Northwestern’s Maxx Mayfield (1/23) … wrestled vs. Ohio State (1/31) … earned a 6-2 decision over Indiana’s Jonathan Kervin (2/14) … represented Maryland at the Big Ten Championships (3/6)

As a Redshirt Sophomore (2019-20): Served as Maryland’s primary starter at 149 pounds, appearing in 13 of 19 dual matches...finished his redshirt junior campaign with a 9-12 record...ranked third on the team with four victories by fall...finished fourth on the team with five dual victories...won his season-opening match over Southern Virginia’s Nicholas Kohronen by fall and beat Virginia’s Denton Spencer at the Cavalier Duals (11/2)...posted three victories and finished second in the 149 pound bracket at the American Round Robin (11/9)...earned a win over Hofstra’s Charlie Kane and finished sixth at the Black Knight Invite (11/17)...beat Navy’s Morgan Fuenffinger (12/6)...earned a victory over Pitt’s Dallas Bulsak (12/20)...won vs. Rider’s Gino Fluri at the Virginia Duals (1/11)

As a Redshirt Freshman (2017-18): Debuted as Maryland's wrestler at 133 pounds, wrestling in Maryland's first three dual matches...won with a 13-0 major decision over Marco Macrino of Bloomsburg at the F&M Open (1/6)...beat Julian Flores of Drexel, 3-1, at the F&M Open (1/6)...topped Robert Long of Navy via a 6-2 decision at the F&M Open (1/6)...pinned Jalin Hankerson of Clarion at the 4:35 mark during the Mat Town Open (1/6)...finished fifth in the 141-pound bracket at the Shorty Hitchcock Open...shut out Brandon Ramos of Old Dominion, 15-0, at the Shorty Hitchcock Open (1/13)...bested Robert Clearly of Rutgers, 8-2, at the Shorty Hitchcock Open (1/13). 

As a Freshman (2016-17): Won two matches at 141 pounds while serving redshirt season…missed portion of the season due to injury…won twice at the Mat Town Open, including a major decision over Kutztown’s Mikey Obrien (11/27)…beat Buffalo’s Bradley Bihler by decision (11/27). 

Before Maryland: Three-time Maryland State runner up...National Prep All American (7th)...career record of 170-30...170 wins is a Severn school record...all-met team selection.

Personal: Son of Joe Doetsch and Maria Liban...has six siblings, Brit, Joe, Sean, Tabetha, Robert and Sierra...lists his most interesting accomplishment as, “1000 wins before high school”...lists sports hero as Ray Lewis...came to Maryland because, “It was my dream since I was a child” and wanted to represent his home state...career plans include being a physical therapist...listens to music before every match...majoring in letters and sciences.
