Biography

As a Junior (2016): Appeared in four games, once as a pinch hitter and three times as a defensive replacement…entered at shortstop against Delaware (3/8)…appeared as a pinch hitter against George Washington (3/9)…came one to play shortstop against VCU (3/29)…entered against High Point at shortstop (4/2).

As a Sophomore (2015): Appeared in 13 games and started four…appeared predominantly as a defensive replacement late in games…batted .118 with a double and three sacrifices…notched his first hit of the season and also recorded an RBI against Purdue (4/24)…started three consecutive games against Indiana (5/2-3) and Towson (5/6)…replaced an injured Brandon Lowe in game two of the Charlottesville Super Regional and made a highlight reel play at second base.  

As a Freshman (2014): Appeared in 10 games as a pinch hitter or defensive replacement … made his collegiate debut in game two of a doubleheader against UMass (3/1) ... appeared as a defensive sub against Clemson (3/28) and Liberty (4/2) ... appeared as a pinch hitter and defensive sub at SS at George Mason (4/8) ... appeared as a defensive sub against Navy (4/16) ... tallied his first career hit at West Virginia (4/22) ... appeared as a pinch hitter and defensive replacement at VCU (5/6).

At Walt Whitman: A two-year shortstop for the Vikings … helped Whitman finish with a 17-3 record in 2012 and reach the regional finals. Finished with a .326 batting average, 14 RBI and four triples … as a senior, helped the Vikings post a 14-4 record and hit .418 with 19 RBI, one home run and five triples … named an All-Gazette first team selection as a senior … selected as a member of the North Team for the Brooks Robinson All-Star Game … selected as an honorable mention All-Met by The Washington Post … ranked as the No. 20 prospect in Maryland by Perfect Game USA.

Personal: Son of Ralph and Jeanne Hisle … father, Ralph, played baseball and his mother, Jeanne, played field hockey at La Salle University … a four-year honor roll student at Whitman … also president and co-founder of the Concussion Awareness Club … his sports hero is Ozzie Smith … would choose to play lacrosse if he didn’t play baseball.
