Before Maryland: Three-year letterwinner for Coach Dave Anderson at Dublin Scioto ... first team all-Midwest ... second team all-OCC ... second team all-region ... scored 28 goals with 16 assists and 72 groundballs in 2007 ... also a two-year letterwinner in football as a safety and wide receiver ... first team all-district on the gridiron ... second team all-league ... special mention all-state.

Personal: Son of Ken and Leslie Schneider ... younger brother of Jeff, who played lacrosse at Ohio State from 2003-07 ... enrolled in the college of letters and sciences.
