Biography
As a redshirt junior (2015): Appeared in one game for Maryland, making debut at Robert Morris (3/24).
As a junior (at UMBC): Underwent surgery in the summer of 2013 and did not compete in the fall or spring.
As a sophomore (at UMBC): Posted a 6-5 record as a starter for the Retrievers …made his first collegiate start at Homewood Field and made nine stops versus Johns Hopkins … earned his first victory, turning aside a season-best 15 shots, in the Retrievers' 16-11 victory over High Point … was credited with 12 ground balls in the America East Tournament … suffered a broken bone in his foot early in the title game versus Albany, but played nearly 56 minutes and made 10 saves.
As a freshman (at UMBC): Earned a letter, but did not compete in any regular season or post-season competitions ... earned a spot on the 2011-12 America East Conference Winter/Spring Honor Roll.
Prep: Ranked as the No. 14 goalkeeper in Inside Lacrosse’s 2011 Recruiting Round-Up … captained his DeMatha team as a senior, finishing the campaign with 179 saves and a save percentage of 72 percent in WCAC play … named to the 2010 Under Armour All-America Underclassmen team (D.C.) … despite a 20-save effort, Stags fell in 2010 WCAC title game Gonzaga … DeMatha won the 2008 and 2009 under former Retriever Scott Morrison … competed for Blackwolf club squad ... a 2010 DeMatha Science Fair winner … lists favorite movie as Pulp Fiction… son of Lynne and Steve DiRito … born Oct. 6.
