2016 Outdoor: Competed at two events...threw season-best 108’7” in the javelin at Maryland Invitational (3/26)...posted mark of 86’9” in the javelin at Kehoe Twilight (5/6).
2016 Indoor: Did not compete
2015 Outdoor: Notched a sixth-place finish in the javelin throw (100’ 8”) at the Kehoe Twilight Meet.
2014 Outdoor: Season-best in the javelin throw to finish second at the Maryland Invitational (113-09)...notched a 13th-place at the Sam Howell Invitational (110-05)...placed 16th at the ACC Outdoor Championships (103-04).
2013 Outdoor: Season-best in the javelin throw at Maryland Invitational (111-00)…Won the event at Kehoe Twilight (109-03)…Placed 4th in the hammer throw at Kehoe Twilight (93-09).
Before Maryland: Only participated in track & field as a junior and senior at Barnegat High School... Finished third in the country as a senior in javelin with a throw of 108' 10''... Also lettered four years in volleyball, two in softball and twice in swimming... Led the volleyball team to the B-South Championship in high school.
Personal: Daughter of Aldo and Linda Bernal... Plans on majoring in psychology... Was a member of the National Honors Society in high school... Helped her high school raise over $50,000 for Relay for Life... Lists Mark Herzlich as her sports hero... Plans on being a sports psychologist after graduation... Chose Maryland over the University of New Haven.
