COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Maryland basketball program will celebrate its 100^th varsity season in 2018-19, and will honor the program's rich tradition and history with several initiatives throughout the year.

Maryland played its first full varsity season in 1910-11, sporadically fielding teams over the next 11 years before returning to stay in 1923-24. During its storied history, the program has won 1,548 games, advanced to 27 NCAA tournaments and captured the 2002 National Championship.

Terp fans are encouraged to visit www.umterps.com/Terps100 throughout the season to stay up to date with all the latest news, notes and updates regarding the centennial season celebration. Additionally, fans can use the hashtag #Terps100 on social media to share their favorite photos, videos and memories of Maryland basketball.   

A commemorative 100 Seasons logo has been unveiled in honor of the program's centennial season, which Terp fans can feature on their electronic devices with wallpaper downloads available here. 

Fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite Maryland moments in the "Best Moments" Bracket throughout the 2018-19 campaign. Voting will begin at the end of October and will occur weekly until a winner is decided.
