View From The Box
- The Terps (9-4-2, 3-1-2 Big Ten) were in control for most of proceedings, with the Buckeyes finding decent pockets of play a time throughout the match. The win was the Terps first on the road this season and gave them three wins in their last three matches.
- Gielen's goal came in the 36th minute after some quality build up work. Johannes Bergmann sent a diagonal ball from the Terps' end into the path of Ben Di Rosa down the right wing. Di Rosa slid the ball back to Jakob Chakroun in the channel, who worked the ball to Eli Crognale. Crognale lifted a cross into the path of Gielen who nodded the ball past Parker Siegfried.
- Johnston polished off the match in the 84th minute. After the ball ping-ponged around the box, Eric Matzelevich was able to touch the ball to Johnston who scored from close range.
- Maryland's back line was fantastic throughout the match and put up their ninth clean sheet of the season. Brett St. Martin and Johannes Bergman were clean in the middle of the defense while Ben Di Rosa and Matt Di Rosa once again put on solid shifts on the wing.
- The Terps improved to 8-1-0 against Ohio State all-time. In those eight wins, Maryland has outscored the Buckeyes 16-1.

"It's a lot more about the team to get a win on the road. It makes us feel like we can go to someone else's house and win. Now we can do that moving forward." –
