- Eric Ayala (1), Donta Scott (3), Fatts Russell (5) and Hakim Hart (8) each rank in the top-10 in the Big Ten Conference in total minutes played this season.
- Ayala currently ranks 12th all-time in Maryland history with 3,613 career minutes played.

- Against No. 16 Ohio State (2/6), senior Eric Ayala knocked down his 206th career 3-pointer to move into a tied for third all-time on Maryland's 3-pointers list with Anthony Cowan Jr.
- The top two spots on the list are held by Juan Dixon (239) and Greivis Vasquez (230). Ayala also ranks 27th in program history with 1,340 points.
Getting even; REELING IN Ranked WINS
- Maryland is looking to improve to 4-0 in rematches following losses earlier in the season, having defeated Northwestern, Illinois and Rutgers after previous defeats.
- Maryland increased its shooting percentage dramatically in each of those rematches: Northwestern (28.8% to 42.3%), Rutgers (33.3% to 45.3%), Illinois (46.0% to 52.8%).

- Maryland currently leads the Big Ten in free throws made (349) and is second in free throws attempted (465), while converting at a 75-percent rate (5th in the Big Ten).
- The effort has been led by Fatts Russell (98) and Eric Ayala (94), who both rank in the top-10 in the Big Ten in free throws attempted.
FATTS GETTING HIS
- Graduate guard Fatts Russell needs just 10 points to reach 1,900 for his career and four assists to reach 500 for his career.
- He is currently the only active player in Division I men's basketball with 1800 points, 450 assists and 225 steals.
SERIES HISTORY
- The Terps took a four-point lead into the halftime break in the first meeting between Maryland and Iowa on Jan. 3 after falling behind, 24-12.
- The Terps were led by Eric Ayala (19 points) and Fatts Russell (16 points). Maryland is 3-2 all-time in XFINITY Center against Iowa.
