No. 1 Terps Welcome Albany For Senior Day; Gamed Moved Indoors At 10 a.m.

COLLEGE PARK, MD - The top-ranked Maryland men's lacrosse team welcomes the University at Albany Great Danes to College Park for a Saturday meeting that also serves as the Terrapins' Senior Day.

Due to weather, the game has been moved to 10 a.m., and will be played inside at Jones-Hill House on Maryland's campus. The game will not be open to the general public. Live game coverage will be announced when available.

Riding a five-game winning streak to start the year, the Terps most recently defeated #7 Notre Dame on the road this past Saturday. Maryland has been the top-ranked team in the nation for the past four weeks and already has four Top-20 victories on the season. 

Maryland will honor eight Terps before the game: Jonathan Donville, Keeghan Khan, Owen Prybylski, Chase Cope, Josh Coffman, Kyle Long, John Geppert, and Brett Makar. 

The game will be available via subscription on B1G+.

#1 on the field, #2 in the record books
  • Logan Wisnauskas has entrenched himself in Terps history as he now sits second all-time in points (265) and goals (162). He trails Jared Bernhardt in both categories.

  • Fifth-year senior Logan Wisnauskas has established himself as one of the most dangerous offensive players in college lacrosse during his career with the Terps, and now leads the Maryland offense in his final year with the program. Here's a look at Wisnauskas by the numbers:

    5 – Wisnauskas (162) is ranked fifth on the active list of D1 players in goals, 19 behind the active leader in Chris Gray of North Carolina (181)

    5 – Wisnauskas currently ranks fourth in Division I in career points with 266.

    2 – Wisnauskas currently ranks second all-time at Maryland in career points (266) and career goals (162).

    8 – Wisnauskas has six career eight-point games as a Terrapin – the most in program history – last posting eight (5G, 3A) in Maryland's season-opening win over High Point.

  • Maryland was ranked No. 1 in the country in both the USILA Coaches Poll and the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll this week for the fourth straight week. 
  • The Terps have been tabbed No. 1 in at least one of the polls at some point during the year in four of the last six seasons.

IMPRESSIVE STREAKS
  • Maryland has won 34 consecutive games when allowing an opponent under 10 goals dating back to the 2017 National Championship season. Maryland allowed the seventh-ranked Irish just nine goals last weekend. 
  • The Terps' defense held opponents to under 10 goals in seven different games last season, including a master class performance against Duke in the NCAA Semifinals allowing just five goals.
  • Maryland has been a tough out under head coach John Tillman when allowing under 10 goals, posting a 99-11 record under Tillman since 2011.
