COLLEGE PARK, MD - No. 9 Maryland field hockey returns home for its final home series of the regular season.
The Terps will open the weekend against No. 5 Iowa on Friday, October 20. They will then turn the page to Indiana for a Sunday afternoon contest. Both games will be streamed on Big Ten Plus.
Parking for Friday's game will be open in the lot next to the Complex, 11B, as well as XX1, RR2 and 9B across Paint Branch Drive, will open beginning at 4 p.m. Cars parked before 4 p.m., or in other lots, are subject to ticketing. Parking for Sunday's games will be open all day in 11B, XX1, RR2 and 9B all day. Fans are asked to follow all parking signs.

series history
- Maryland holds a 18-6-1 all-time series record over Iowa, dating back to 1984. Head coach Missy Meharg has led the Terps to a 17-6 record over the Hawkeyes.
- The Terps are 6-1 in College Park against Iowa. The last home win for the Terps came in October of 2019 when they claimed their second-ever shutout, 3-0.
- The last time these programs met was in September of 2022. Iowa took a 2-1 overtime victory in Iowa City.
- Maryland has clinched nine wins over Iowa since joining the Big Ten in 2014.
- Indiana and Maryland met only once before Maryland joined the Big Ten. The first ever meeting was in 1981, when Indiana was still a club team. The Terps remain perfect against the Hoosiers with a 11-0 all-time series record. Meharg led the team to ten of those victories.
- Maryland has picked up seven wins in College Park in series history.
- The most recent win over Indiana came in October of 2022. The Terps took a 5-1 victory over the Hoosiers at home.
- Indiana is one of three Big Ten teams that Maryland has never lost to. Michigan State and Ohio State hold the other two slots.

FINAL B1G HOME Weekend
- No. 9 Maryland returns home with a 12-3 overall record. The Terps swept No. 16 Michigan and No. 9 Ohio State over the weekend, extending their win streak to five games.
- Maryland has outscored its opponents 40-15.
- The Terps rank fourth in the Big Ten in goals per game average (2.67) and fourth in points per game average (7.53).
- Maryland has allowed only two first quarter goals through 15 games and outscored teams 14-2 in the first fifteen minutes. 11 of those 14 goals happened in the first six minutes of each game.
- The Terps are 11-2 in games where they score first and 9-1 when they lead at halftime. Maryland is perfect on the season in games decided by two or more goals.

standout performances
- Freshman Alyssa Klebasko started both contests over the weekend. She earned her third shutout over Michigan, 1-0, after making a career-high eight saves. She owns the highest save percentage in the NCAA with .885 and the third best goals-against average of .614. Klebasko remains undefeated as a starter. Last weekend's performance earned her Big Ten Freshman of the Week, her first conference recognition.
- Graduate transfer Sammy Popper scored the game-winning goal against Michigan on Friday. She scored the goal during Maryland's first penalty corner of the game. Maryland's defense maintained the, 1-0, lead for the remainder of the game, sealing Popper's third game-winning goal of the season. She started the scoring against the Buckeyes with a quick first quarter goal, earning her sixth score of the season.
- Margot Lawn continues to be an offensive asset for the Terps. She tallied an assist on the game-winning penalty corner in Ann Arbor and held a pivotal role in the game-winning goal at Ohio State. Lawn continues to lead the team in assists with nine. She ranks second in the Big Ten, averaging .600 assists per game.
- The Terps utilize the depth of their bench as they average sixteen players participating per match. 13 players have tallied at least one point on the year, including nine goal scorers.
Best of the best
- Missy Meharg returns for her 36th season as head coach. A nine-time National Coach of the Year recipient, Meharg brings an unprecedented level of consistency and excellence to the Maryland field hockey program.
- Meharg became the third coach in Division I history to reach 600 wins in 2021. She is not shy of championships as she has led the Terps to seven national titles, including five in seven years, 12 conference tournament crowns, 15 conference regular season titles and 19 appearances in the NCAA Semifinals round, including 12 in the NCAA Finals.
- She is supported by associate head coach Scott Tupper (third season), assistant coach Kasey Tapman Asper (third season) and goalie specialist Natalie Hunter Cyrus (first season).
