COLLEGE PARK, MDÂ - No. 5 Maryland field hockey remains home as they prepare to host the Princeton Tigers on September 14th.

Parking for Thursday's games will be open in the lot next to the Complex, 11B, as well as XX1, RR2 and 9B across Paint Branch Drive, will open beginning at 4 p.m. Cars parked before 4 p.m., or in other lots, are subject to ticketing. Parking for Sunday's games will be open all day in 11B, XX1, RR2 and 9B all day. Fans are asked to follow all parking signs.

- Competition with these two programs dates back to 1981. Maryland holds a 26-10-1 all-time lead over Princeton.
- The last five contests between these teams have gone into at least one period of overtime, with Maryland taking the first four wins. The last meeting between these squads resulted in a 4-3 (2OT) loss on the road for the Terrapins on September 20, 2022.

-  Junior Hope Rose added her first career hat trick on Friday to lift the Terps to a 3-1 win over the RedHawks. Her third goal came from her first penalty stroke goal of the season. Rose's last goal of the weekend came from a penalty corner conversion against Yale. She leads the roster with 19 points from nine goals and one assist. Rose has scored in five of seven matches for the Terps and owns three multi-score games this season.
- Fifth year Margot Lawn collected a career high four-point performance against the Bulldogs. She scored the now-game-winning goal to begin the day for the Terps. She added two assists throughout the day, both as the inserter on the penalty corner. Lawn has remained a consistent piece of the Terps' penalty corner attempts.
- The Maryland defensive unit allowed only six shots on goal the entire weekend. Paige Kieft and Alyssa Klebasko split time in the cage, each starting and finishing a 60 minute battle.
- The Terps share the wealth across the roster with depth running through it. 10Â players have at least two points on the year, including nine goal scorers.
Championship coaching
- Missy Meharg returns for her 36th season as head coach. A nine-time National Coach of the Year recipient, Meharg brings an unprecedented level of consistency and excellence to the Maryland field hockey program.Â
- Meharg became the third coach in Division I history to reach 600 wins in 2021. She is not shy of championships as she has led the Terps to seven national titles, including five in seven years,12 conference tournament crowns,15 conference regular season titles and 19 appearances in the NCAA Semifinals round, including 12 in the NCAA Finals.
- She is supported by associate head coach Scott Tupper (third season), assistant coach Kasey Tapman Asper (third season)Â and goalie specialist Natalie Hunter Cyrus (first season).
