MADISON, WI – Maryland volleyball was defeated by No. 9 Wisconsin, 3-0, (15-25, 11-25, 15-25) on Friday at UW Field House. The Terps now sit at 10-6 overall and 1-4 in Big Ten play.
The Terps battled against the top-10 team but could not come away with a set victory. They continue their road trip with a matchup against No. 14 Minnesota on Saturday.
Samantha Schnitta finished the match with a team-high nine kills, adding five digs. Sydney Bryant (five kills and two digs), Sydney Dowler (24 assists and four digs), Sam Csire (five kills, two digs and one block and one ace) and Anastasia Russ (three kills and one block were other standout performers.
Dowler's ace tied her with Katie Myers (2016-19) for seventh on Maryland's career service aces list. She now has 112 aces in her career.
The Badgers improved to 10-4 on the season, including 4-1 in conference play.
