
Terps Earn Fourth Sweep Of The Season In Win Over Lehigh

COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland volleyball swept Lehigh (25-22, 25-17, 25-19) at the XFINITY Center Pavilion on Friday. The win was Maryland's fourth sweep of the season. All but one of its wins have come via the sweep.
Maryland (5-2) emerged victorious despite a tightly contested first set. Each team initially failed to break away from the other with long runs. However, the Terps hit their stride in the second and third sets. Maryland posted a hitting percentage over .300 and recorded 15 or more kills in each set. Overall, the Terps hit .480 in the match.
Lehigh is now 4-3 on the season after dropping two consecutive games. The Terps are undefeated in five meetings against the Hawks.
Set 1: Maryland 25 - Lehigh 22

Two Terps hit significant career milestones in the match. Zoe Huang eclipsed 100 career assists after totaling a team-high 24 in the match. She also recorded five digs. Samantha Schnitta reached 300 career kills as a Terp, finishing with a team-high 14 in the game. It was also her fifth match this season with double-digit kills. Ally Williams, Eva Rohrbach, Sydney Bryant, Anastasia Russ and Sam Csire also provided strong performances. Williams led the Terps with seven digs, Rohrbach totaled seven kills, Bryant tallied 10 kills, Russ collected seven kills and Csire collected 10 kills and five digs.⚡️⚡️ pic.twitter.com/lagSHCdnXp

Set 1: Maryland 25 - Lehigh 22

- A 6-2 run by Lehigh put them ahead, 6-4.
- Maryland responded with three consecutive points, a kill by Sydney Bryant, an ace by Schnitta and an attack error to regain the lead, 7-6.
- After trading scores on nine consecutive serves, the Terps pulled ahead 14-11 after a kill by Bryant.
- Lehigh used a timeout after Maryland led 19-17. It scored three straight points, highlighted by a kill from Sam Csire.
- The Terps closed out set one with a win after two attack errors by Lehigh.
- Lehigh opened the second set with a 4-0 lead.
