COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The University of Maryland volleyball team will travel to Baltimore, Maryland, for a three-day tournament hosted by the UMBC Retrievers. The Terps will face Old Dominion on Friday, September 5, followed by William & Mary on Saturday, September 6. The tournament will conclude on Sunday, September 8, with Maryland taking on UMBC.

First serve for Friday's match is set for 3:30 p.m. ET, while Saturday's contest will begin at 12:30 p.m. ET. Sunday's match will also start at 12:30 p.m. The matchup against UMBC will be streamed on America East TV. The other matches will not be streamed, but live stats will be available.

  • Old Dominion finished the 2024 campaign with a 16-11 overall record and a 5-9 mark in the Sun Belt.
  • The Monarchs return three of their top four leaders in kills: Elisa Maggi, who ranked second on the team with 288; LeeAnne Lowery, who was third with 186; and Bryanna Jones, who was fourth with 175. Also returning is libero Kate Kilpatrick, who led the team with 391 digs.
  • The team's top three servers are back as well—Maggi (37 aces), Emma Schelah (31 aces), and Kilpatrick (27 aces).
  • William & Mary wrapped up the 2024 season with a 12-15 overall record and an 8-10 mark in the CAA.
  • The Tribe returns two seniors who earned Preseason All-CAA honors: middle blocker Olivia Esposito and outside hitter Nicole Smith. For Esposito, it marks her second consecutive year receiving preseason all-conference recognition.Senior libero Kaitlyn Dunnigan also returns as the team's most experienced player, having appeared in 61 career matches and 199 sets
  • UMBC closed the 2024 season with an 8-16 record. The Retrievers were picked to finish tied for second in the America East preseason coaches' poll, announced earlier this month. In addition, sophomore outside hitter Hannah Dobbs was named to the preseason All-Conference team.

  • Maryland returns Ally Williams and Eva Rohrbach to its roster in 2025 - each one expected to make a considerable impact on the court.
