MAJOR: Criminology & Criminal Justice
As a grad student (2022): All-around season with seven points (4G, 3A), 17CT, and 36GB...Opened the season with one goal against High Point (2/6) ... Had one assist in Terps' win over Loyola (2/12)... Had two ground balls and forced two turnovers against Syracuse (2/20)... Notched two more ground balls and another forced turnover to help defeat Princeton (2/26)... Did it on both sides of the field scoring a goal, having an assist, picking up a ground ball and forcing a turnovers in win over Albany (3/12)... Picked up three ground balls in victory over #2 Virginia (3/19)... Scored a goal and picked up two ground balls in win over Penn State (3/27)...One ground ball in win over Michigan (4/2)...Four ground ball and one forced turnover in win over #4 Rutgers (4/10)...Two ground balls in win over #9 Ohio State (4/17)...One forced turnover and three ground balls in win over Johns Hopkins (4/23)... As a senior (2021): Started in all 16 games on the first midfield line…19 goals ranked fifth on the team…tallied five multi-goal games…seven multi-point games…picked up 20 ground balls…caused five turnovers…posted season-high four points and three goals at Michigan (4/10)…scored a goal in every NCAA Tournament game.
As a junior (2020): Started in all six games, finishing fifth on the team in points (11)…notched a career-high five assists along with a goal in season-opening win vs. High Point (2/1)…scored a goal at Richmond (2/8)…tallied a goal vs. Penn (2/15)…had two goals and an assist at Villanova (2/18)…Academic All-Big Ten.
As a sophomore (2019): Academic All-Big Ten...Started on first midfield line in all 17 games...42 points ranked fourth on the team...17 assists ranked fourth and 25 goals ranked fifth on the team...posted seven multi-goal games and four hat tricks...four multi-assist games...had career-high six points on four goals and two assists vs. Villanova (3/16)...scored career-high five goals vs. Hopkins (4/27)...posted a hat trick and assist in OT win at Towson in NCAA First Round (5/12)...tallied two assists vs. third-seeded Virginia in NCAA Quarterfinal (5/18).

Before Maryland: The No. 2 overall recruit in the class of 2017 according to Inside Lacrosse … a 2017 Under Armour All-Ameircan – the first in Utah state history … scored two goals at the Under Armour All-America game and went viral for his “RKO” goal celebration … spent a postgrad season at Deerfield Academy (Mass.) … helped lead Brighton to a pair of Utah State Championships in three seasons … spent junior year boarding at The Calverton School (Huntingtown, Md.) where he helped lead the program to an MILL Championship.
Personal: Name is Cole “Bubba” Fairman … parents are Jay and Melanie … received the nickname “Bubba” after weighing 13 pounds at birth … father, Jay, introduced him to the sport and started some of the first club lacrosse teams in Utah … has two older brothers, Elias and Luke, who he credits with making him tougher as a kid … rooted for Maryland lacrosse as a child growing up.
