MAJOR: Master of Finance

As a graduate (2022):  Finished season fourth on team with 36 GB to go alongside 11 CT...Opened the season with 1 ground ball pickup and a forced turnover against High Point (2/6)...  2 ground balls and 2 forced turnovers in victory over Loyola (2/12)... Picked up 3 ground balls and forced a turnover against Syracuse (2/20)... 1 goal and one assist to help defeat Princeton (2/26)... One goal and picked up four ground balls to help defeat Notre Dame (2/5)... Picked up a ground ball in victory against Albany (3/12)...Two goals in win over #2 Virginia (3/19)... Picked up two ground balls to help defeat Penn State (3/27)...One goal in Terps' win over Michigan (4/2)... As a junior (2020): Saw action in all six games as one of team’s primary short stick defensive midfielders…scored three goals…second on the team in ground balls (21)…caused two turnovers…scored two goals in season-opener vs. High Point (2/1)…scored a goal, caused a turnover and snagged three ground balls at Richmond (2/8)…picked up two ground balls vs. Penn (2/15)…recorded season-high 8 ground balls at Villanova (2/18)…had three ground balls vs. Notre Dame (2/29)…caused a turnover and scooped five ground balls vs. Albany (3/7)…Academic All-Big Ten.

As a sophomore (2019): Played in all 17 games as the team’s No. 1 short stick defensive midfielder...key member of faceoff unit...Inside Lacrosse Media All-American...Academic All-Big Ten...Two-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week...scored seven goals and tallied three assists...47 ground balls ranked second on the team...caused four turnovers...notched first goal of the season and snagged three ground balls in opener vs. Bucknell (2/2)...scored game-winning goal in overtime to clinch win at Penn (2/16)...caused a turnover and grabbed five ground balls vs. #16 Colgate (2/19)...career-high seven ground balls at Navy (2/23)...caused a turnover and picked up three ground balls at #17 Notre Dame (3/3)...posted a goal, an assist, a team-high four ground balls and caused turnover vs. Villanova (3/16)...tallied two goals vs. #1 Penn State (3/31)...notched a goal at #9 Ohio State (4/20)...scored Maryland’s first man down goal in over six years vs. Johns Hopkins (4/27)...grabbed three ground balls in NCAA First Round win over sixth-seeded Towson (5/12)...had three more ground balls vs. third-seeded Virginia in NCAA Quarterfinals (5/18).  

As a freshman (2018): Appeared in all 18 games as one of the team's top short stick defensive midfielders ... posted 25 ground balls and also caused three turnovers on the season ... made collegiate debut against Navy (2/10) ... had a ground ball against Marist (2/13) ... posted three ground balls vs. #17 Penn (2/21) ... had a ground ball and caused a turnover at #18 Penn State (4/8) ... posted a ground ball and a caused turnover vs. Ohio State (4/22) ... had a career-high four ground balls at #7 Johns Hopkins (4/28) ... notched two ground balls in Big Ten semis vs. #11 Rutgers (5/3) ... totaled three ground balls in Big Ten finals vs. #7 Hopkins (5/5) ... scored first career goal and had three ground balls in NCAA First Round vs. Robert Morris (5/13) ... had a pair of ground balls in NCAA Quarters vs. Cornell (5/20) ... caused a turnovers in NCAA Semis vs. Duke (5/26).

Before Maryland: The No. 65 overall recruit in the class of 2017 according to Inside Lacrosse … a four-year letter winner and two-time captain at Paul VI … totaled 186 points in high school career, posting 132 goals and 54 assists … named Washington Post First Team All-Metro as a senior and Honorable Mention as a junior … a two-time First Team VIAA All-State selection and a three-time First Team All-WCAC selection … played club lacrosse for Virginia Lacrosse Club.

Personal: Full name is Roman Joseph Puglise … son of Paul and Stella Puglise … mother played soccer at Mary Washington … has three siblings: Dominick, Ciana and Capri … graduated with high honors and was  a student ambassador on the executive board … sports hero is Tim Tebow … also recruited by Johns Hopkins, North Carolina, Virginia and Delaware.
