As a sophomore (2017): Appeared in two games for 2017 National Champions ... made collegiate debut at St. Joseph's (2/14) ... battled injury during season.

As a freshman (2016): Did not see game action.

Before Maryland: A four-year letterwinner and two-time captain at Victor HS … helped lead Victor to a New York state title as a senior, achieving a perfect 22-0 record … won a pair of sectional titles and named first team all-league … also a three-year letterwinner in football as a free safety and wide receiver, earning first team all-league.

Personal: Full name is Samuel Byassee … parents are Mark and Julie Byassee … has one younger sibling, Cole … named to the honor roll all four years of high school.
