As a senior (2019): Academic All-Big Ten...Appeared in 15 games during final season, finishing third on the team in ground balls (46) while recording two points...picked up at least one ground ball in every game he played...posted six ground balls at Notre Dame (3/3)...scored first career goal, won 3/6 faceoffs and grabbed two ground balls vs. Villanova (3/16)...picked up a career-high eight ground balls, went 2/2 on faceoffs and notched an assist vs. Michigan (4/6)...played key role in NCAA First Round win at Towson, winning three faceoffs and scooping three ground balls (2/12).
As a junior (2018): Appeared in 12 games as a short stick defensive midfielder ... totaled nine ground balls ... made season debut against Navy (2/10) ... posted two ground balls against Marist (2/13).

Before Maryland: A four-year letterwinner at Lake Forest HS … a 2015 NILCA All-American … also an all-conference running back in football, totaling 1,500 yards and 30 touchdowns.
Personal: Full name is Wesley Thomas Janeck … parents are Mark and Teresa Janeck … has three siblings, Alex, Jennifer and Chris … a member of the National Honors Society and four-time Honor Roll member.
Reason for coming to Maryland: The excellent academics and lacrosse program, and for a chance to experience the East Coast.
