As a senior (2019): Saw action in four games...made season debut vs. #16 Colgate (2/19)...saw action vs. Albany (3/9)...made appearance vs. Villanova (3/16).
As a junior (2018): Appeared in four games, making Maryland debut against Navy (2/10) ... transferred to Maryland in summer of 2017.
As a sophomore at Onondaga CC (2017): Played in all 15 games (eight starts), totaling 21 ground balls and causing 16 turnovers … helped lead Onondaga to a perfect 15-0 season en route to capturing the NJCAA National Championship … named to the NJCAA All-Tournament Team after posting three ground balls and causing four turnovers in the title game … earned first team all-america honors … also named the NJCAA Region III Defensive Player of the Year and the Mid State Athletic Conference Player of the Year … earned President’s List honors.
As a freshman at Onondaga CC (2016): Started all 15 games, totaling 10 ground balls and two caused turnovers … helped Onondaga reach the NJCAA title game.
Before College: Played two seasons of varsity lacrosse at Ithaca High School for coach Frank Welch … named the 2014 Defensive League MVP.
Personal: Full name is Zachary Richard Pinney … son of Richard and Shannon Pinney … has a younger sister, Rachel … pretended to be James Harrison as a kid … also recruited by Rutgers and Loyola.
