As a Junior (2016-17): Big Ten All-Academic…won 10 matches as the team’s primary starter at 125 pounds…won first match of the season at Bearcat Open over Rider’s Jonathan Tropea, 10-8 (11/13)…beat Brant Leadbeter of Navy, 7-3 (1/8)…won three matches at the Messiah Open to place second.
As a Sophomore (2015-16): 5-12 record on the season…notched win over Conner Ziegler (Army) at Nittany Lion Open (12/6)…picked up two wins at Franklin & Marshall Open (12/30)…posted fall over Bill Prochniewski (George Mason) at 6:47 (2/14)…secured 5-1 decision over Rider’s Zach Valcare in dual finale (2/20).
As a Freshman (2014-15): Nabbed five wins in a season that saw him predominantly compete in open action…grabbed his first career win at the Bearcat Open (11/9) over Nick DeRosa of Cleveland State…defeated Zack Valcarce of Rider at the NLO…was thrust into dual action against Jordan Conaway of Penn State (12/7)…won twice at the Wilkes Open (12/28), including a major decision over Andrew Cognill of Cleveland State.
Before Maryland: A state champion, two-time state finalist...was a FILA Junior National finalist in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman...a Junior Pan Am Games National Team member...was a multiple time high school All-American.
