Before Maryland: Helped lead Downingtown East to district, section and region championships in 2010 ... named first team all-region in 2010 ... became the first wrestler from Downingtown East to place at states ... named team captain and MVP as a senior.
Personal: Parents are Bob and Sue Fitzgerald ... has two brothers, Sean and Brian ... father played Division III soccer and mother played Division I field hockey ... graduated with a 3.5 GPA ... lists winning the regional championship in triple overtime as his biggest sports thrill.
