Jill Lau is in her first season as a volunteer assistant coach on the Maryland water polo staff.

Lau was a four-year letterwinner for the Terps, playing in 99 career games as a reserve attacker. She was a senior on the 2009 squad which finished third at the CWPA Eastern Championship, the best-ever finish by the Terps (matched last season).

A native of Greenbelt, Md., Lau was a member of the national honor society in high school.
