COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
ACC LIVE, Fox Sports Net's weekly signature program profiling the Atlantic
Coast Conference, airs Monday (Oct. 8) at 7 p.m. EDT on Comcast SportsNet. The live, half-hour
show is hosted by Mike Hogewood, along with ACC football analyst Jamie Dukes
bringing ACC fans up to date on news from across the conference.
With No. 20-ranked Maryland visiting No. 15 Georgia Tech on Thursday, the game
marks the Atlanta return of Terrapins' first-year head coach Ralph Friedgen.
Having been afforded the rare distinction of coordinating offensive attacks
for a college national champion (Georgia Tech, 1990) and a Super Bowl team
(San Diego Chargers, '94 season), Friedgen has already taken Maryland to
impressive heights in his inaugural campaign at his alma mater. On Monday's
ACC LIVE, Friedgen will discuss his thoughts on returning to "The
Flats" to face the Tech program he served for nine seasons during his
33-year coaching career.
On Monday's show, Hogewood and Dukes also provide an in-depth preview of the
Maryland-Georgia Tech game. The host Jackets have won the series' last four
games, each of which has been a high scoring affair, and, Tech is 6-0
all-time against the Terrapins at Bobby Dodd Stadium. For Maryland, last Saturday's win over Virginia improved the Terps to 3-0 in the ACC and 5-0 overall.
On Monday, Hogewood and Dukes also look at the other games involving
ACC schools - Georgia Tech at Duke, East Carolina at North Carolina, and
N.C. State at Wake Forest. Clemson and Florida State are idle this weekend.
ACC LIVE also delivers a roundup on all the ACC's in-season Olympic sports
and spotlights the Florida State soccer team, which last year reached the
NCAA Tournament.
ACC will re-broadcast on Comcast SportsNet Tuesday at 5 p.m.
