In just three days since being awarded a berth in the 2002 FedEx Orange Bowl, the University of Maryland has sold over 10,000 tickets for the Terps' appearance in the BCS bowl game.

Maryland, 10-1 and champions of the Atlantic Coast Conference, will cap one of its finest seasons in history with the Jan. 2 bowl game in Miami. Under national coach of the year Ralph Friedgen, the Terrapins set school scoring records while rising in the national polls to their current No. 7 ranking.
The Terps' Orange Bowl opponent will be announced this weekend.
First priority on purchase of bowl tickets will go to Terrapin Club members. Second priority will go to 2001 football season ticket holders who are not Terrapin Club members. Third priority will go to alumni, faculty and staff who are not Terrapin Club members or football season ticket holders. If tickets remain, they will be made available to the general public on Thursday, December 13, 2001. Twenty percent of Maryland's allotment will be set aside for purchase by University of Maryland students with a valid I.D.
The Athletic Department is offering bowl travel packages through Sports Travel International and Collegiate Athletic Travel. Details were mailed to Terrapin Club members on November 30th. Priority for Terrapin Club bowl game travel packages will be given to Terrapin Club members.
For fans who will not be purchasing a Terrapin Club bowl game tour package but wish to participate in Terrapin Club events during the Bowl game, an events-only package is available. Events include a New Year's Eve Party, a Pre-Game Party, the Orange Bowl Parade, and the Orange Bowl Coaches Luncheon.
