COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
University of Maryland will take a national ranking -- the program's first in six seasons -- into Saturday's Atlantic Coast Conference clash with Virginia at Byrd Stadium.
The Terps, who moved to 4-0 with a 32-20 victory over West Virginia last Saturday, are rated 25th in this week's national top 25 poll. Click here for the coaches' poll and here for the Associated Press poll.
It is the first foray into the major national top 25 polls for the Terps since Sept. 25, 1995, when Maryland was rated 17th in the country after winning its first four games.
Saturday's clash at Byrd Stadium vs. the Cavaliers will match the ACC's co-leaders -- both squads are 2-0 in conference play. Kickoff is set for noon. Tickets are still available.
