POSITION VACANCY
POSITION TITLE: Assistant Equipment Manager
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Full-time, Contingent II
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Equipment Manager reports to the Head Equipment Manager and assists with the day-to-day operations of three (3) equipment rooms. Specific responsibilities include: using inventory tracking software program; repairing and maintaining athletic equipment; handling laundry requirements for assigned teams; supervising student managers; ensuring that all equipment room staff are informed of and follow all policies and procedures, including all NCAA, ACC, and University rules; assisting assigned sports with purchasing team equipment; and other duties as assigned, including assisting with other ICA sports not currently assigned to this position. Primary responsibilities will be in serving Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Volleyball, Field Hockey, Women's Lacrosse, Softball and Wrestling.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, and experience required. Two years of experience, preferably in a Division I-A or other athletic related equipment room. At least one year of experience working within a NCAA Division I Equipment room preferred. AEMA certification or eligible to take the certification exam within a year of start date required. Must have knowledge of NCAA rules as related to equipment. Ability to fit, maintain, and repair athletic and protective equipment. Knowledge of laundering and spot removal. Must be computer literate.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
