POSITION VACANCY

 

 

POSITION TITLE:               Assistant Coach - Wrestling

 

DEPARTMENT:                   Intercollegiate Athletics

 

CATEGORY:                         Full-time, Non-tenured Faculty

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Assist the head coach with the organization, development and implementation of a competitive, Division I wrestling program.  Responsibilities will include assisting with scouting, recruiting, coaching, practice and dual meet scheduling, fundraising, clinics, and the administration of team budgets.  Develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni, media, and the general public.  Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to full academic development of student-athletes are essential.  Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree required.  Must have at least 2 years of wrestling coaching experience, preferably at the Division I level.  Previous collegiate playing experience preferred.  Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills.

 

SALARY:       Commensurate with experience.
