POSITION VACANCY

 

POSITION TITLE:               Assistant Athletic Trainer

                                               

DEPARTMENT:                   Intercollegiate Athletics

 

CATEGORY:                         Full-time, Contingent II

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:          The Assistant Athletic Trainer will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day athletic training/sports medicine operations, to include prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athletes; pre-participation physicals; maintaining medical records; completing required insurance claims; daily interaction and communication with coaching staff, fellow athletic trainers, and administration; attending team practices and events as scheduled; supervising student athletic trainers; assisting with administrative duties; and performing other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Athletic Training, or related field/concentration required.  Master's degree preferred.  Must have current NATABOC and CPR/AED Certification. At least 2 years of athletic training experience, preferably at the Division I level.  Previous insurance claims processing and billing experience.  Strong organization, administrative, and communication skills.

 

SALARY:       Commensurate with experience.
