POSITION VACANCY

 

POSITION TITLE:               Assistant Coach - Women's Soccer

 

DEPARTMENT:                   Intercollegiate Athletics

 

CATEGORY:                         Full-Time, Contractual Faculty (100109)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Assist the head coach with the organization, development and implementation of a competitive, Division I women's soccer program.  Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, scouting, recruiting, coaching, practice and game scheduling, and the administration of team budgets.  Develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni, media, and the general public.  Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to full academic development of student-athletes are essential.  Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or the Director of Athletics.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree required. Must have at least 3-5 years of coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level. Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.  Candidate should have administrative and organizational experience as well as computer skills.

 

SALARY:       Commensurate with experience.
