COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Tickets are now available for the University of Maryland Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Dinner, to be held on Friday, Nov. 10 at the campus' Inn and Conference Center.

The ceremony will honor the induction class of 2006, which includes men's basketball player Nick Davis, women's basketball standout Christy Winters Scott, field hockey player Lisa Buente Rockhill, two-sport star Howie Dare from football and baseball, men's lacrosse defenseman Mike Thearle and current director of athletics Deborah A. Yow.

Tickets for the black-tie-optional event are $75 and the reception begins at 5:45 p.m. Tickets can be reserved by calling the M Club Office at 301-314-7020.

LISA BUENTE ROCKHILL (Field Hockey, 1987-1990)
Two-time first team All-American (1989, 1990)... Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year in 1990, Maryland's first... Three-time All-ACC selection (1987, 1989, 1990)... All-ACC Tournament pick as a senior... Ranks second on Maryland all-time lists in goals (70) and points (165)... Her 28 goals as a senior stand as the single-season school record... Played on 1987 NCAA National Champion squad... Member of the U.S. National Under-21 Team... Named to ACC's 50th Anniversary Team.

HOWIE DARE (Baseball / Football, 1954-1957)
Co-captain in both sports in 1957... Led football team in scoring (24 points in 1957), receiving (tied for team-high with 10 catches in 1955) and punt returns (49 yards in 1957)... Lettered in football in 1954, 1955 and 1957... Winner of the A.V. Williams Award in 1957 for outstanding and conspicuous sportsmanship... Played on teams that finished third (1955) and eighth (1954) in final AP polls... Winner of the Bosey Berger Award in 1957, given to the outstanding baseball senior... Lettered two seasons in baseball (1956, 1957) and still ranks sixth in career batting (.359) and fourth in career on-base percentage (.463).

NICK DAVIS (Men's Basketball, 1956-1958)
Most Valuable Player of the 1958 Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament, won by Maryland... Terps finished sixth in the nation that season with a 22-7 record and finished third in the NCAA East Region... First team NCAA All-East Region... Second team All-ACC as a senior... Scored 19.7 points in the 1958 ACC Tourney... Finished his three years as a Terrapin with a 10.9 points-per-game scoring average... Passed away March 20, 2006.

CHRISTY WINTERS SCOTT (Women's Basketball, 1987-1990)
Lettered four seasons for Maryland between 1987 and 1990... Kodak All-Region pick as a senior in 1990... First team All-ACC selection as a senior... Named to ACC All-Tournament team in 1988 and 1990... Played on two ACC Champion teams... 1987-88 Terps went 26-6, finished eighth in the final poll and reached the NCAA Elite Eight... Terps in 1988-89 reached NCAA Final Four and finished 29-3 overall, fifth in the final AP poll... Led Maryland in scoring as a senior with 17.8 points-per-game average for team that reached the NCAA second round... Second all-time in scoring at Maryland with 1,679 points... Ranks fourth in career rebounds with 723... Career leader in games played with 123... Also ranks fifth in blocks, second in field goals, eighth in field goal percentage and eighth in free throws made... Member of ACC 50th Anniversary Team.

MIKE THEARLE (Men's Lacrosse, 1972-1973)
Inducted into National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2004... Won the Schmeisser Memorial Cup in 1973 as the nation's outstanding defenseman... Lettered two seasons for Maryland in 1972 and 1973... Played on Maryland's NCAA National Championship squad that went 10-0 in 1973... First team All-American on defense as a senior after earning second team All-American in 1972... Member of the ACC 50th Anniversary Team.

DEBORAH A. YOW (Director of Athletics, 1994-present)
Has directed intercollegiate athletics at Maryland for 12 years and lifted the program to unparalleled success and achievement... Teams have won 13 national championships in those 12 seasons, including four during the 2005-06 academic year... Maryland has become the only school to win NCAA national championships in men's and women's basketball, as well as a football national title as recognized by the Associated Press... Named by Street & Smith's Sports Business Journal as one of the 20 most influential people in intercollegiate athletics... Has served on the NCAA Management Council, the NCAA Division I Budget Committee and the U.S. Department of Education's Commission on Opportunities in Athletics which studied Title IX... Balanced 11 straight athletics budgets at Maryland while enhancing facilities and improving academic support for student-athletes... Former president of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.
