College Park, Md.- The Terrapin Club hosted its first spring outing of the season on Monday at Smokey Glen Farm in Gaithersburg, Md. The event, held in conjunction with the Montgomery County Terrapin Club District, drew over two hundred Terrapin fans.
The dinner featured Maryland Director of Athletics, Debbie Yow, defending National Championship Field Hockey coach, Missy Meharg, Women's Basketball coach Brenda Frese, Football coach, Ralph Friedgen and Men's Basketball coach, Gary Williams.
Those in attendance enjoyed a buffet dinner, raffle prizes, and heard the latest news about Maryland Athletics while in the company of other passionate Terrapin fans.
The Terrapin Club will hold two more Spring Outings and are still accepting registrations. On May 7th, the Cumberland Valley Spring Outing will be held at the Fountain Head Country Club in Hagerstown, Md. The following evening, the Howard/Baltimore County Spring Outing will take place at Kurtz's Beach in Pasadena, Md. Both events start at 6p.m.
