Five Events On Tap Saturday On Maryland Campus

    COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Traffic on the University of Maryland campus will be heavier than normal Saturday with five events scheduled to take place in the afternoon.

    The men's basketball team is playing host to North Carolina at 3:30 p.m. in a sold out Comcast Center so many of the lots around the arena will be unavailable for other events. Lots 4, 9 and 11 will be closed beginning that morning.

    Parking for the women's lacrosse game and wrestling match will be most affected.

    The women's lacrosse team plays UMass at noon in the Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex and wrestling takes on George Mason at 1 p.m. in the Comcast Center Pavilion.

    Fans of both of those events should park in Lot XX1 or Lot 1 and take the Quickbus shuttle which begins running at 11 a.m. The shuttle, which is free, will make stops at Lot 1, Lot XX1, the Field Hockey/Lacrosse Complex and Comcast Center throughout the afternoon.

    Overflow parking is available in Regents Drive Garage ($5), which is located near the football practice fields. There will be no shuttle service from this garage.

    The men's lacrosse team takes on Georgetown at 1 p.m. in Ludwig Field. Parking will be available in Lot 1 which is adjacent to the facility.

    Maryland is also serving as host to the ACC Women's Swimming and Diving Championships throughout the day. Parking for this event is available in Stadium Drive Garage ($5).

    Women's Lacrosse vs. UMass (Noon)
    • Location: Field Hockey/Lacrosse Complex
    • Parking: Lot XX1 or Lot 1 with shuttle service (free); Regents Drive Garage ($5)

    Men's Lacrosse vs Georgetown (1 p.m.)
    • Location: Ludwig Field
    • Parking: Lot 1

    Wrestling vs. George Mason (1 p.m.)
    • Location: Comcast Center Pavilion
    • Parking: Lot XX1 or Lot 1 with shuttle service (free); Regents Drive Garage ($5)

    Men's Basketball vs. North Carolina (3:30 p.m.)
    • Location: Comcast Center
    • Parking: Lot 4, 9, 11 (pass only)

    ACC Women's Swimming & Diving Championships (All Day)
