Laura Watten Show Returns Monday to WMUC Radio

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The weekly Laura Watten Show returns to campus radio station WMUC 88.1 FM beginning Monday at 3 p.m. as the University of Maryland softball team prepares for its home-opening tournament.

The 30-minute show, which also will be streamed live over the Internet at wmucsports.com, features discussions with the fourth-year Terrapin head softball coach, including answers to questions submitted via emai (askcoachwatten@gmail.com). Watten will recap highlights of Maryland's season thus far, as well as provide analysis of her team's upcoming home schedule.

The Terps open the home portion of their season by playing host to the Maryland Round Robin March 7-8 in Robert E. Taylor Stadium. The four-team tournament also features Dartmouth, Manhattan and Gardner-Webb. Maryland takes on Dartmouth at noon March 7 followed by games versus Manhattan at 2 p.m. the same day and against Gardner-Webb at 11 a.m. March 8.

The Maryland Round Robin concludes with championship and consolation games at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively, March 8.

The Lauren Watten Show, now in its third year, will air Mondays from 3-3:30 p.m. throughout the 2009 softball season.

WMUC, which also hosts Terrapin Sports Rewind (Mondays at 7 p.m.), a comprehensive look at Terrapin Athletics that includes softball coverage, is scheduled to air every Maryland home softball game this season, beginning with the pair of March 7 contests.
