ATLANTA - The Maryland women's golf team finished tenth at the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate, as Jessica Hollandsworth put together a 1-under par final two rounds to finish fifth individually. Hollandsworth, who shot the two lowest rounds of the tournament for the Terrapins with her final two loops, finished with a 5-over 221 total to finish five strokes off the pace.

As a team, Maryland had its best round of the tournament on the final day. Led by Hollandsworth's even-par 72, every Terp finished with a round of 78 or better, combining for a 303 overall. That improved on their second-round score by eight strokes.

Hilary Lawson finished behind Hollandsworth with a combined 234, good for 42nd place. Lauren Varnas shot a 77 in the third round, her best score of the tournament by five strokes, to move into a tie for 56th. Alexis Holmes improved upon her best score by six strokes, shooting a 76 to finish in 58th place.

Led by Sanda Maier's first-place even-par tournament, the host Georgia State University won the event with a combined 886.
