University of Maryland Department of Athletics Compliance Internship
Description
The University of Maryland invites applications for an internship opportunity with the athletics compliance office. The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance, assisting in the operation of the athletics compliance program. Duties include preparation and organization of required NCAA and ACC conference forms and reports; maintenance and monitoring of compliance-related records; assistance in processing the Student-Athlete Opportunity Fund (SAOF); conducting preliminary prospect evaluations; monitoring student-athlete employment; producing monthly compliance newsletter; maintaining compliance website and other duties as assigned. Start date will be approximately August 3, 2009.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required. Prior work experience in a NCAA Division I compliance office is desired. Successful applicants must have strong Windows-based computing skills. Knowledge of CAi (Compliance Assistant Internet) is preferred.
