Fans Can Experience the 2009 ACC Football Kickoff
COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Head coach Ralph Friedgen, quarterback Chris Turner and cornerback Nolan Carroll will represent the Maryland Terrapins at the 2009 ACC Football Kickoff which gets underway Sunday in Greensboro, N.C.
Turner and Carroll will visit with the media Sunday and Friedgen will conduct interviews Monday.
The Atlantic Coast Conference office will be providing live satellite feeds of a segment of both the player and head-coach interviews. The press conference-style interviews will also be streamed live through theACC.com.
Sunday's feed will start at 2:15 p.m. EST with footage of key returning players. Live player interviews will start at 3 p.m. on 15-minute intervals with Florida State beginning the process followed by Miami, Virginia, NC State, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Duke, North Carolina, Clemson, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech and Maryland. Carroll and Turner will be on the podium from 5:45-5:59 p.m.
Monday's head-coach interviews will start at 3 p.m. (on 13-minute intervals) with Butch Davis opening the session followed by Paul Johnson, Frank Beamer, Ralph Friedgen (3:42 p.m.), David Cutcliffe, commissioner John Swofford, Al Groh, Tom O'Brien, Bobby Bowden, Randy Shannon, Jim Grobe, coordinator of football officials Doug Rhoads, Frank Spaziani and Dabo Swinney. The last interview will end at 6:15 p.m.
