Aug. 19, 2009

NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Princeton Review ranked the University of Maryland athletic facilities tops in the country, as released by the publication last week.

The survey asked over 122,000 students at 371 colleges to rate their schools on a multitude of topics. The 80-question survey asked students about their institution's academics, campus life, administration, student body and themselves.

Findings are published yearly in The Princeton Review's annual college guide, The Best 371 Colleges - 2010 Edition (Random House/Princeton Review). The survey includes the top 20 colleges on 62 lists.

Maryland beat out Florida, Penn State, Wabash College and Georgia Tech for the best athletic facilities in the nation. Texas A&M, Alabama-Tuscaloosa, Texas Christian, Ohio State and Loyola (Md.) rounded out the top ten.

Maryland also ranked fifth in `Students Pack the Stadiums' and fourth in `Best College Newspaper'.
