The University of Maryland women's golf team continues its Fall 2009 season this week with a trip to Louisville, Ky., for the Napa River Grill Cardinal Cup hosted by the University of Louisville.
The tournament is the second of the fall for the Terps, who opened last weekend with a ninth-place finish at the Cougar Classic in Hanahan, S.C.
Maryland is led by sophomore Jessica Hollandsworth. Hollandsworth tied for fifth place at the Cougar Classic last weekend and owns a 71.00 scoring average, the second-best average in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The Terps are one of 12 teams competing in the tournament. The other participating schools are BYU, Eastern Kentucky, Illinois State, Morehead State, Akron, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Missouri, Southern Florida, Southern Miss and the host, Louisville.
All teams will play 36 holes Monday and 18 Tuesday. The tournament will be scored live at golfstat.com.
