On Saturday, September 19th, the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics honored student athletes who earned a spot on the Scholar Athlete Honor Roll during a halftime presentation at the football game vs. Middle Tennessee State. The 2008-09 Scholar Athlete Honor Roll includes 406 student athletes, representing all 27 varsity sports that achieved a 3.0 semester GPA in the fall and/or spring 2008-09 academic year. Among this impressive number of scholar athletes, five student athletes were recognized for having maintained a 4.0 cumulative GPA at the University of Maryland. Congratulations to all our scholar athletes.
