COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - Jordan Williams scored 18 points, Cliff Tucker had 15 points and 10 assists, and Maryland used a 45-7 first-half run to roll past Florida Southern 106-58 in an exhibition game Monday night.

Playing for the first time in four years without star guard Greivis Vasquez, the Terrapins pulled out of a 15-15 tie to take a 60-22 lead with 1:42 left before halftime.

It was the lone exhibition game for Maryland before the season opener against Seattle on Nov. 8 in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic.

Terry Jenkins scored 19 points for Florida Southern, a Division II school that went 25-5 last season and was coming off a 90-70 exhibition loss to No. 17 Butler.

Despite losing Vasquez, Landon Milbourne and Eric Hayes to graduation, Maryland coach Gary Williams has plenty of talent left on the roster. The starting lineup consisted of seniors Tucker, Adrian Bowie and Dino Gregory, along with Williams, a 6-foot-10 sophomore center, and Sean Mosley, a junior guard.

Mosley scored 16, Bowie had 15 and Gregory contributed nine points and seven rebounds.

Tucker's line in the first half: 13 minutes, 13 points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals.

Maryland led 6-0 and 11-5 before Jenkins hit a pair of 3-pointers in a 10-4 surge that tied it.

Bowie then hit a 3-pointer and Williams made a three-point play to spark an 11-2 run that put the Terrapins up 26-17, and the rout was on.

After a jumper by Jenkins, seven different players scored for Maryland during a 15-0 blitz that made it 41-19.

Jenkins temporarily halted the onslaught with a free throw, but the Terrapins promptly answered with 11 successive points. Tucker started the run with a 3-pointer and a dunk, and Gregory and Bowie followed with three-point plays.

Jenkins again stepped in, making two free throws before an 8-0 spree by Maryland increased the margin to 38.
