The men's and women's distance medley relay squads broke 24 and 26 year old school records at the Alex Wilson Invitational this weekend.
The men's relay team, comprised of Greg Jubb, Jeremy Samuels, Tommy Friscia and Greg Kelsey, finished with a total time of 9:43.92. The women's team, comprised of Christina Nelson, Kiani Profit, Taylor Bumpas and Julie Fricke, finished with a final time of 11:40.
Alex Lundy also made history with his mark of 14:19.62 in the 5000, moving into second on Maryland's all-time list.
In the 800, Taylor Bumpas moved into sixth all-time with a mark of 2:13.30. Erin Matyus's mark of 2:16.04 moved the senior into tenth place all-time at Maryland.
In the mile run, Christina Nelson, Ashley Cromartie and Julie Fricke placed seventeenth, twenty-third and twenty-fourth respectively. Nelson's time of 4:55.02 moves her into eighth all-time.
Freshman Moriah Young continued her strong season on the field, taking fifth in the shot put with a mark of 44-06.25, and tenth in the weight throw at 49-07.75.
Senior Greg Kelsey placed ninth in the 3000 with a time of 8:20.57. Jeremy Samuels placed twelfth in the 400 with a mark of 48.57. Tommy Friscia placed twenty-fourth in the 800 at 1:51.73. Kyle Gaffney finished thirty-sixth in the mile.
