COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The second-seeded Maryland field hockey team (15-3, 4-1) will play host to the ACC Tournament next Thursday through Sunday at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. The Terrapins earned a first round bye and will play either third-seeded Duke or sixth-seeded Virginia Friday at 3:30 p.m.

The ACC Tournament will begin Thursday when the three through six seeds play in the Quarterfinals. The Blue Devils (11-6, 2-3) and the Cavaliers (8-11, 1-4) play at 3:30 p.m. North Carolina, the top seed, will play Friday at 1 p.m. The winners of Friday's games will advance to the 1 p.m. Finals on Sunday.

Maryland owns an all-time record of 32-19 (.628). The Terps have won the nine ACC titles, all under head coach Missy Meharg, and have won the last three straight. The Terrapins have entered the ACC Tournament as one of the top two seeds in each of the last eight years, dating back to 2004.
