Sophomore Jill Witmer of the second-seeded Maryland field hockey team was voted to the Atlantic Coast Conference's All-Tournament team the league announced Sunday after the championship game.
Witmer, who was the 2010 ACC Freshman of the Year, was named to the All-ACC Team earlier this week. The All-Tournament team is voted on by the league's six head coaches for student-athletes' performances in the ACC championships.
Second-seeded Maryland, who is ranked No. 3 in the country, fell to third-seeded Duke, 2-1, Friday afternoon in the semifinals.
The Terrapins will find out their NCAA Tournament fate on Tuesday evening. Umterps.com will have updated information on the Terps' NCAA road as soon as it is available. First round of the NCAA Tournament will begin next Saturday, Nov. 12.
