COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Three members of the Maryland field hockey team were voted to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Team, released Wednesday. Seniors Megan Frazer and Harriet Tibble, along with junior Jill Witmer earned the conference honors by a vote of the league's six head coaches.

Frazer, Tibble and Witmer are all three-time honorees on the All-ACC Team. The trio has been together for one ACC title in 2010 and two NCAA titles in 2010 and 2011.

"What an honor for Megan, Harriet and Jill to be three-time All-ACC selections," head coach Missy Meharg said. "To be recognized in the toughest field hockey conference in the nation for three straight years is an amazing feat and a reflection of their commitment to maintaining a level of play for the University of Maryland and for the ACC. We join Olympians and world-class players in our conference and on behalf of the Maryland coaching staff, we congratulate them."

Frazer, a native of Derry, Northern Ireland, earned the nation's top individual honor last year in the Honda Award. The senior co-captain has 23 points on the season and is in the top 10 of the league in shots (56) and assists (7).

From Surrey, England, Tibble was a Second Team NFHCA All-American last season. She has nine assists on the year. She has anchored a Maryland defense that is second in the country in shutouts with eight in 18 games played.

Witmer, who hails from Lancaster, Pa., was a First Team NFHCA All-American last season. She leads the Terrapins in scoring this year with 11 goals. She also has nine assists for a team-high 31 points. She is in the top 10 of the league in goals, assists and points.

The third-seeded Terrapins (14-4, 3-2) will face the No. 6 seed, Duke (7-10, 0-5), Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in Chapel Hill, N.C. in ACC Tournament quarterfinal action.

The winner of the Maryland-Duke game will take on the No. 2 seed Virginia Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the semifinals. The championship game will be played Sunday, Nov. 4 at 1 p.m.

In their regular season matchup, the Terps beat the Blue Devils, 2-0 on Oct. 6 in College Park. Witmer and junior Ali McEvoy scored in the win, as the Terrapins' defense held Duke to just five shots.

ACC fans will be able to watch all six games of the championship. The semifinals on Friday and the final on Sunday will be broadcast on FOX Sports South, FOX Sports Florida, Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, and NESN in the ACC footprint.

The entire tournament will be played at top-seeded North Carolina's Francis E. Henry Stadium. Single-day tickets are available for $5, and all-weekend tickets are $10. Students from an ACC school can enter for free with valid student identification.

The Terrapins have won nine ACC Championships, all under head coach Missy Meharg, including the 2009, 2010 and 2011 crowns.
