COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Each week during the 2012-13 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week. This week's Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week is Megan Frazer from the field hockey team. Frazer scored the game-winning goal with 2:10 left to play to lead No. 6 Maryland past No. 4 Connecticut and back to the Final Four.

The pressure is on for senior Megan Frazer as the Terps advance to their fourth straight Final Four appearance with her on the team, thanks to her game-winning goal against Connecticut on Sunday. If there's one thing the senior thrives on, it's pressure.

Although Frazer has only been a designated team co-captain for the past two years, she has always been a natural leader on the field, even as a freshman. Frazer is known for making clutch plays for the Terps, especially in the post season.

As a freshman, Frazer scored the game-winning goal in the ACC championship in overtime. As a sophomore, she scored the game-winning goal in the NCAA championship game in double overtime to defeat the defending national champions, North Carolina.

Last year, the Terps went on to win their second straight national title, once again defeating the Tar Heels. Frazer was also honored with the prestigious Honda Sports Award, which is awarded to the nation's best field hockey player.

Frazer has played in her fair share of nail-biting games, but as her senior year comes to a close, no game has felt more important than that to lead her back to the national championship stage.

The Terrapins were sent on the road for the NCAA First and Second Rounds for the first time in 10 years. In unknown territory, Frazer and her Terps had to take on No. 4 Connecticut on its home field to advance to their fifth straight Final Four. The Huskies scored first, but a goal by freshman Alyssa Parker tied it before halftime.

With time running down and overtime looming, Frazer dribbled the ball into the top of the circle, moving from right to left. She swung back and cracked a shot. She and the rest of the crowd watched the ball hit the back of the net for the game-winner with 2:10 left to play.

Maryland is set to play Princeton on Friday in the Final Four, and Frazer has no intention of this being her last game in a Maryland uniform.

"I am excited to have the chance to play Princeton again this season" said Frazer. "Although we lost to them earlier this season, we have the chance to defeat them. We also lost to UVA early in the season also, and were able to beat them the second time around. We are planning to do that same thing to Princeton on Friday."
