POSITION VACANCY

 

POSITION TITLE:              Systems Support Specialist (IT Coordinator)

DEPARTMENT:                  Intercollegiate Athletics

CATEGORY:                       Full-time, Exempt (112252)

RESPONSIBILITIES:     The Systems Support Specialist will respond to and diagnoses problems through discussions with users and technical peers in a Windows 7/XP, Mac OS X, MS Office and SharePoint environment.  Specific responsibilities include: providing user support to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network services problems/questions (i.e. disk drive maintenance, printer malfunctions, network connectivity issues, OS issues, system maintenance, software updates) providing user training when necessary; serving as liaison for repairs and system board replacements as needed, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Information Technology.  Other responsibilities will include Game Day support which includes statistical software, wireless connectively, handheld scanners, ticketing software, and statistical monitor support.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree in an information technology related field or equivalent experience, education, and/or training and 5 years' experience in desktop support.  Prior experience with Microsoft Windows 7/XP, Microsoft Office, Mac OS X, system security and virus protection software are necessary. Knowledge of Paciolan, StatCrew, and Daktronics Scoreboards are a plus.  Dell hardware and A+ certified preferred. Good oral and written communication and customer service skills. 

SALARY:      Commensurate with experience.
