Football Busy During Maryland Day

    COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland football team played its annual Red-White Spring game one week earlier than in previous years, but the Terps will still be involved in this Saturday's Maryland Day activites.

    The University will hold its 14th-annual open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a full slate of of family events planned:

    Lift For Life

    The Maryland Chapter of Uplifting Athletes will hold its third annual 'Lift For Life.' The fundraising strength and conditioning competition begins at 10 a.m. on the football practice field (adjacent to Byrd Stadium) and will feature members of the team. The Terps have chosen to help fight cystic fibrosis, a rare disease that affects near 30,000 Americans. Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic rare disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. For more details or to donate to the cause, click here.

    Terps Autograph Session

    Head coach Randy Edsall and the players will hold an autograph session from 11 a.m. to noon on the West concourse (closed end zone) of Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium. Gates H, I and J will open at 10:30 a.m. for that event. Click here to view a stadium map. The 2012 team poster will be unveiled at the session. In case of inclement weather, the team will move under the upper deck.

    Madieu Williams Football Clinic

    Former Terp Madieu Williams will hold a football clinic from 9 a.m. to noon on the practice field adjacent to Comcast Center. The clinic is open to children ages 8-13. Pre-registration is required and there is a 300-participant limit. Click here to register.
