POSITION TITLE: Director of Marketing & Social Media
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Full-time, Exempt (100139)
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Director of Marketing & Social Media will assist with the development of marketing programs and activities that cultivate interest and support for intercollegiate athletics. Specific responsibilities include: serve as the athletic departments in-house social media expert with direct oversight and daily management of our Facebook account (strategic development, fan engagement, brand integration and content planning); develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan for Women's Basketball with a key focus on maximizing revenue and attendance; assist with fan development and revenue generation initiatives for Football & Men's Basketball, including experiential marketing, grassroots promotions, digital media advertising and direct response marketing; work with the ticket office and the Aspire Group on group sales renewals and identifying new prospects.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sport Management or related field required, Master's degree preferred. Minimum of four (4) years of sports marketing experience required, preferably at the NCAA division I or professional sports level. Must have two (2) years of social media and digital asset management experience including thorough understanding of digital content development and managing social media sites – including Facebook & Twitter. Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Photoshop required. Must be available to work frequent evenings and weekends.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
