WASHINGTON - University of Maryland Director of Athletics Kevin Anderson was among 25 distinguished honorees to be selected by the Washington Business Journal as a Minority Business Leader on Thursday afternoon at a luncheon at the Washington Hilton Hotel.

Anderson is in his third year as director of athletics at Maryland and his ninth in college athletics.

"I am truly appreciative of this honor and want to express my gratitude to the Washington Business Journal," Anderson said.
