A two-time Mid-Atlantic all-region selection as part of the Terrapins' defense, Lindsay Gorewitz takes on a new role with the team in 2001. As a student-assistant coach, Gorewitz will work with assistant coach Andrew Griffiths and Aaron Haviland in the area of game day operations.

Gorewitz was a crucial piece of a Terp backfield that combined to limit opponents to 1.1 goals on 5.8 shots over the last two seasons. Often acting as the last line of defense before the cage, Gorewitz's efforts are evidenced by Maryland's nine shutouts in 2000, including five over NFHCA Top 20 opponents.

Gorewitz played with the U.S. Under-20 team in 1999 that traveled to the Four Nations Tournament. She finished her career with two assists and one defensive save out of the backfield, and is scheduled to graduate in December with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
